As you all know, I have been planning on having another give-away for quite a while now, but I wanted to wait for a special occasion… So here it is, for all those soon to be mommies, new mommies, or more experienced mommies… this is your time to get pampered by me. So once again, I'm giving away some of my babies!
This time there will be 6 lucky winners and each will get 40 (forty) 6 1/2" squares in an assortment of all my collections, just to play and have pure fun…
So here's the deal, just share with me and other readers…
WHAT WOULD BE THE PERFECT MOTHER'S DAY FOR YOU?
I am pretty sure you all have wonderful plans.
So I guess you are wondering, who wins? Oh well, since I struggled sooo much choosing the winners for my last give-away, I'm leaving it to chance (and I'm sure this will not be any different- you have so many great stories!!!). I will choose six RANDOM winners, so…. GOOD LUCK!
You have until MOTHER'S DAY (Sunday May 10th) midnight to post your comment…. Meanwhile, I will be getting your fabric squares ready (that together with a trillion other things I have to do for Quilt Market!). Be sure to include your e-mail address to contact you…
I have a lot more coming up, so don't forget to subscribe (if you are not family yet, of course) to get a jump on future give-aways and much more.
By the way, stay tuned for the third sneak peak. The name? SPELLBOUND.
Handmade rocks… So let's keep on stitching!

What a generous giveaway! I’m not a mom but I always enjoyed mother’s day with my mom at the beach. Enjoy quilt market!

spellbound – you are such a tease! I’m not a mommy, but I have a mommy who loves when I make her handmade gifts (a talent I didn’t get from her – so she’s even more thankful)… it’s probably getting close to when I need to give her another quilt! ;)

I sadly don’t have any kiddies of my own, but I imagine that the perfect mother’s day for me would be spent with my Partner being able to do whatever my heart desired. Which would probably include eating lots and lots of delicious food and being told that I could get whatever I wanted at the quilt store!

A perfect Mother”s Day for me would be to spend it with my Mom…she’s far away and getting on in years and I want to enjoy her company for as long as possible. She is so sweet, fun and a great storyteller…I love to hear the stories of her childhood!

My perfect Mother’s Day would be for my 89 year old Mother and Father, plus my two children and spouses to come to our house and have late brunch on the deck overlooking the lake. Oh…that sounds so good!!

Oooh how to choose.
I have husband,a teenager, & a toddler here at home. So there are a few days when I would choose a day where I was by myself without anybody hollering “Mom”, “Mamma”, or “Honey”. I could really get some sewing stuff knocked out of the way, or do nothing at all!
More often though I would rather be with the family. I think a short picnic hike on a pretty day, or an afternoon at the beach, flying kites would be nice. Especially if I didn’t have to plan & pack it! I love to hear the kids laugh and have fun together. That is the best Mother’s Day gift right there.
I need more fabric like I need a hole in the head, but those look like way too much fun to pass up a chance on! Thanks for such a snazzy giveaway!
Much success at Quilt Market!

My perfect Mother’s Day would be to have my grandmothers and Mother and Mother in law all together and have a garden party in the backyard. There would be flowers and lace and lovely desserts. I am not sure about men. They might be invited to the after party.
Lovely blog. :)

I’ve been a Mom SIX times and grandmom 7 and a half times!!!! I need some pampering. I just painted the sewing room last week and am trying to organize as I go to bring stuff back in…I need shelves so that is what I want for a perfect Mother’s Day…a MAN to put up shelves and paint the ceiling….I didn’t get that part done…is it too much to ask???? I don’t want stuff (although I wouldn’t mind a lobster dinner), I want muscle and man abilities…..thanks.

Having a wonderful, relaxing day with my family. The tradition is I have a day of sewing, while my husband thinks about and plans meals and keeps the house clean. :D I am hoping for a dinner out as well. :D

There would be two perfect Mother’s Days for me. Either one away from my children on a small vacation with just my husband (Sounds bad I know, but I need a break!) or a day at home where I could step back from Mommy duty. I cooked 3 meals, mopped the floor and cleaned the fridge last Mother’s Day, so I’d just like to chill this time. :D

Yipee! WHat a great giveaway… We have a two year old, ELlie and I am a soon to be second time mother.. only 31 days to go till we welcome our lil boy :)
My perfect Mothers Day would include sewing and more sewing. I have not had a chance in WEEKS to sit down and wrap up all of my projects. THere is always something going on and so, my projects just sit. :( A day at the park enjoying the nice weather and lounging would be a great way to start. I love watching my husband play with our daughter. THey are both so happy to be chasing, running and entertaining one another.

The perfect Mother’s Day? Probably the one I’ll have . . . wake up to the flowers my hubby and daughter give me (to plant, NOT cut in a vase). Then lunch with my wonderful Mom, and supper with all of my husband’s family, the greatest inlaws in the world.

My perfect MOther’s Day?
it involves sleeping, sewing and eating pastry. :) Not too ambitious…but somehow I don’t think I’ll get all 3 this year with a 5 month old. I’ll settle for eating pastry.

My perfect mother’s day–finish the projects I have in mind for my mom and MIL in time. For me–some yum chocolate and maybe flowers, a day of no cooking, a nap after church, and no fighting kids. Good weather would be nice, too.

It’s difficult to indulge in crafty cravings while wrestling with a Beautiful 7mo Baby Girl and battling sleep deprivation. I would love to get a SOLID night’s sleep, wake up to breakfast in bed, and then get to spend the rest of the day at craft stores where I’d troll up and down every single aisle for treasures. Oh and then after I’m done shopping, I would spend the rest of the afternoon and evening crafting, sewing, and eating whatever I want. Of course, this would only be possible with an awesome Husband and Daddy; and I happen to have such a man!

As my Mother and MIL have both passed away. The perfect Mothers Day for me would be – sleeping late, breakfast in bed, locking the front door, taking the phone off the hook and watching “Gilmour Girls” dvds on tv, while dressed in snuggly PJs with my husband and two darling daughters. The addition of chocolate would be the icing on the cake !!

The perfect Mother’s Day for me would be to have all of my children together with their families, and all of us go out to dinner. Our family is so spread out, that we have not all been in the same room together since the summer of 2003.
My son lives in Maryland with his wife and two sons, his daughter lives in Seattle with her mother. One daughter lives in Denver, one daughter and my stepdaugther live in Georgia. I live in Arizona where I work for the National Park Service at the Grand Canyon, North Rim. It is 165 miles to a decent fabric store–I have not found a quilt shop yet, but I have heard there is one in Flagstaff, about 225 miles away. I really NEED to win this one!

I would love to wake up in a hotel room in San Francisco, to bacon, doughnuts and coffee. Then, a relaxed day of visiting fabric and yarn stores, where I get to buy what strikes my fancy. Finishing it all up at a cozy bar for a perfectly made martini.
Of course, pancakes at home, yard work, and bbq dinner will be lovely as well.

Ideally, a sleep in til 11ish, then open my pressies (which would be fabric of course), some brunch in bed, then a quiet afternoon of quilt making.
Realistically, awake at 7:30, feed the kids, entertain the kids, clean up after the kids, and maybe a bit of crochet on the couch after the kids go to bed.

The perfect mother’s day? Anything would be better than last year – all day in the emergency department of the kids hospital while my eldest vomited all over the floor and me…it doesn’t take much to please me – enough sleep, not having to cook breakfast, a fun outing with the kids and then BOTH of them napping, maybe a little sewing time, not having to cook dinner and an evening knitting on the couch.

My perfect Mother’s Day would start with a sunny morning, some husband made coffee, and a handmade card. Then an outing with the kids- a lazy paddle around the arboretum, or a mellow hike. Some “me” time in the afternoon to get crafty would be nice, and a lazy night with a video and wine with my husband. Bliss!

How nice! A perfect Mother’s Day for me would be to wake up with my two kids snuggled in bed with me, and coffee waiting too! As a mom it gets so tiring having to cook for a family every day so it would be really nice to have that taken care of all day for me. After a good bounce on the trampoline with my kids I’d love a few hours to myself to read, craft and get my nails done. Oh, and a yoga class would be great as well!
