As you all know, I have been planning on having another give-away for quite a while now, but I wanted to wait for a special occasion… So here it is, for all those soon to be mommies, new mommies, or more experienced mommies… this is your time to get pampered by me. So once again, I'm giving away some of my babies!
This time there will be 6 lucky winners and each will get 40 (forty) 6 1/2" squares in an assortment of all my collections, just to play and have pure fun…
So here's the deal, just share with me and other readers…
WHAT WOULD BE THE PERFECT MOTHER'S DAY FOR YOU?
I am pretty sure you all have wonderful plans.
So I guess you are wondering, who wins? Oh well, since I struggled sooo much choosing the winners for my last give-away, I'm leaving it to chance (and I'm sure this will not be any different- you have so many great stories!!!). I will choose six RANDOM winners, so…. GOOD LUCK!
You have until MOTHER'S DAY (Sunday May 10th) midnight to post your comment…. Meanwhile, I will be getting your fabric squares ready (that together with a trillion other things I have to do for Quilt Market!). Be sure to include your e-mail address to contact you…
I have a lot more coming up, so don't forget to subscribe (if you are not family yet, of course) to get a jump on future give-aways and much more.
By the way, stay tuned for the third sneak peak. The name? SPELLBOUND.
Handmade rocks… So let's keep on stitching!
Patricia

My perfect mother’s day would include a day of massage, pedicure, manicure, facial, and a movie – all by myself. Oh, an a nap. A loooong, quiet nap. And not having to clean up or wipe up ANYTHING. Skip the spa, even. A nap would be just fine!

The perfect Mother’s Day for me? That’s easy…. to find out we were pregnant. We’ve been trying for a while now and are starting to lose hope. Wouldn’t it be great to learn I was expecting on Mother’s Day? It is possible….just waiting a few more days before taking a test

My perfect Mother’s Day would be a getaway with my husband and daughter. My first Mother’s Day was last year right after her birth, and this year we’ll be traveling to see the grandmothers. I still haven’t gotten my first one with just the two of them, and I’m hungry for that intimacy! It will be wonderful all the same.

A perfect mother’s day for me would be going for a drive with my husband and kids out to the country and stopping by the little sausage factory for buns and sausage, followed by a “oh would you look at that, there’s a quilt shop here!” and then off to the park with the family for a picnic.

Oh boy, my perfect Mother’s Day would be going to the coast on a perfectly sunny, mild day with my son and my husband where they would surprise me with a drawing from my son and some flowers and then coming home to a perfectly clean house and a hot dinner already set on the table! Ah, perfection…

Not as a mother myself, mine would of course be being in the same state at least as my mother. And maybe making her some of ‘my versions’ of her classic recipes.

A perfect Mother’s Day for me would be to sit back and enjoy the benefits of my family’s tradition of having the Dads do the cooking with my Mom and sister-in-law and to enjoy that as a Mom myself. Since my lovely son had the foresight to be born just in time for Mother’s Day this year, I will get this wish.

Every year we spend Mother’s Day at the local Appalachian Festival. But this year will be just that much more special, as my 3 yr old grandson is going with me! He loves Festivals, loves to dance and clap to the music, loves to watch the crafters make things, loves to see the animals, and best of all, he loves spending time with ME. I am looking forward to it with great anticipation and joy. I don’t need gifts on Mother’s Day – a little hand holding onto mine goes a long long way.

Drinking tea with mom and laughing as we recall old stories. She loved her tea very very hot and also liked to lean against the kitchen sink as we conversed.
We always had to make extra for her dog – the dog just loved tea though she couldn’t have it as hot as mom.

A perfect mother’s day would be to be able to take my mom to China as i have promised her 5 years ago. We planned to go 3 years ago but then my dad got sick so we posponed the trip. Now that my dad is healthier, i am thinking about taking my mom to China. This will mean a lot to her since she hasn’t had vacation for 3 years

With 4 kids (youngest 10 months), my perfect Mother’s day is sleeping in, getting up at about 8 and drinking coffee and reading the paper without having to get up and attend to a child. Then a couple of hours guilt/hassle free of sewing. Then out for lunch somewhere nice near the ocean or in the mountains, a bit of wandering around in craft, knick nack and op shops (while hubby takes children to the park). Then home while my hubby makes the dinner and looks after the kids while I do some knitting. Not asking much, am I LOL.

my perfect mother’s day would be spending a sunny (but not too hot) day in the park with my husband and 2 and 5 year old(s) and having gotten a report that baby #3 is in actuality going to be just fine (dr says he has only a slim chance right now).

A perfect mother’s day? I want to say to spend it with my husband and child, grandma, grandpa, etc, etc. And as nice as that would be, what I really want is time to myself to do WHATEVER I want! Drink coffee, slowly.Read a book. Sew. A massage might be really good too. Just a little time to be me.

Hi, I would love to be entered in to your give away!
My perfect mothers day, well to start, peace and quiet, I work with small children so you can imagine! I would love to have the day to play in my quilting room with no obligations to children or hubby, just one guilt free quilting day! Then I would love for my husband to grill a nice thick steak for dinner, followed by more quilting! All of this with out having to break up any teenage girl fights! Yep that is my perfect mothers day!

my perfect mother’s day is not on a sunday. too busy in a pastor’s home. but to have a day with my mom, MIL, our three hubbies, and my seven children to just relax, play together, and converse, that would be glorious. nothing beats sitting around a porch together talking! well, maybe sewing something new, but that’s a whole other story!

My perfect Mother’s Day would be to go have a nice brunch with my husband and 3 kids. He would then take the kids for the afternoon while I went to get a massage and pedicure. Then we’d meet back up in the afternoon to see a play in the park. This year, my son has a soccer game on Mother’s Day so I don’t see it going quite like that. Oh well!

The perfect Mother’s Day. Well, I was separated from my older daughter for eight years and just recently reconnected with her briefly. The best Mother’s Day in the world would be a whole day spent quietly with both of my lovely daughters.

I’m not a mom but do pets count? Since I am on vacation (away from home) until Mother’s Day, I will sit around with my cats and cuddle them. I will of course call my mom to tell her all about vacation and the many wine tastings we had, etc. My cats are my kids so cuddle time will be in order! Then I’ll let them lay all over my new fabric as I try to figure out WHERE to store it. (my stash over-floweth but there is ALWAYS room for more!)
