As you all know, I have been planning on having another give-away for quite a while now, but I wanted to wait for a special occasion… So here it is, for all those soon to be mommies, new mommies, or more experienced mommies… this is your time to get pampered by me. So once again, I'm giving away some of my babies!
This time there will be 6 lucky winners and each will get 40 (forty) 6 1/2" squares in an assortment of all my collections, just to play and have pure fun…
So here's the deal, just share with me and other readers…
WHAT WOULD BE THE PERFECT MOTHER'S DAY FOR YOU?
I am pretty sure you all have wonderful plans.
So I guess you are wondering, who wins? Oh well, since I struggled sooo much choosing the winners for my last give-away, I'm leaving it to chance (and I'm sure this will not be any different- you have so many great stories!!!). I will choose six RANDOM winners, so…. GOOD LUCK!
You have until MOTHER'S DAY (Sunday May 10th) midnight to post your comment…. Meanwhile, I will be getting your fabric squares ready (that together with a trillion other things I have to do for Quilt Market!). Be sure to include your e-mail address to contact you…
I have a lot more coming up, so don't forget to subscribe (if you are not family yet, of course) to get a jump on future give-aways and much more.
By the way, stay tuned for the third sneak peak. The name? SPELLBOUND.
Handmade rocks… So let's keep on stitching!
Patricia

A perfect Mothers Day for me would be to be able to sew uninterrupted all day. And not have to cook.

The ideal mothers day for me would be having my husband home so I could have a day off! Can’t remember how many years its been since he was around on that weekend. Perhaps to top it off, have a pamper day with my mum and sisters (all mothers)!

Mmmm, perfect mothers’ day… it would involve having a bit of time to sew something with wonderful fabrics! In between cuddling the children, of course.

My dream Mother’s Day would be to have someone come and organize & clean my apartment and then I would like to have a leisurely bike ride with my family followed by a lovely dinner together.

I think the perfect Mother’s Day would be to wake up to coffee in bed and find my four kids and husband cleaning the entire house. Humm, then to sit with a good book, in the sunshine of course, and read for an hour. I’d then sit down and sew for an hour or two without any interruptions with a pot of tea and some scones. After that I’d go out with the family to a glorious picnic by the river. Humm, my imagination could keep on running! :-)

my ideal Mother’s day would involve my husband running the house for the day (meaning if we go somewhere i am not in charge of remembering to bring things the kids need and when dinner time rolls around for the kids he would have it under control LOL)

A day out in the country somewhere, or by the coast, yummy lunch and kids asleep in the car on the way home!

Hi – This Mother’s Day I happen to be pregnant for the first time so this Mother’s Day will be more special. Mother’s Day is always a big day in my family anyway. We all get dressed up and go to the most delicious and beautiful Inn for lunch. It even has a chocolate fountain. All the little kids in my family adore it.

A perfect Mother’s Day? Well, it would have to have more than 24 hours in it for sure :). A little crafting time, a little time outdoors, a little cuddle time with my little boys, a little quiet time to read, and a little chocolate would make for a great day.

A perfect Mother’s Day…….I’m not sure! A day spent with my children, all snuggled up, and asleep. :) Or a day out with my mom and kiddies.

I would love to win the fabric! That would complement a perfect Mother’s Day, spent with my boys (husband, a 6-year energetic boy and a mutt), eating homemade bread and good cheese in the yard. Happy Mother’s Day to y’all!

What a great giveaway1 Such beautiful fabrics. Mother’s Day would be great to be surrounded by family, help with the cooking and cleanup and a day nice enough for us to all to be outside in the fresh air. I am blessed to still have my mother with me – four generations of women – that is a great Mother’ Day!

For Mother’s Day I would be happy to spend time with my kids and grandbabies. My kids are grown (23 & 20) and my babies (18 mos & 3 mos) are the light of my life.
“Time” is something that is often overlooked but is so precious. “Time” – that’s what I would like for Mother’s Day.

I think the perfect Mother’s Day would be to spend the day with my family without having to do a thing. No diapers to change, no dinner to plan – just pure enjoyment. I don’t think that will be happening any time soon, though… ;) not as long as there are diapers to change.

This is going to sound corny, but my perfect Mother’s Day would involve sleeping in, followed by a picnic in the shade, in a picturesque park, with rolling green hills and kids frollicking and laughing, etc. Of course, the weather would be a perfect 70 degrees and sunny, with puffy white clouds slowly gliding by. Later, some craft time to myself in a quiet house while the babes sleep peacefully would be the perfect way to top it all off.

I usually get the perfect mother’s day already. A good bit of sleeping in, my husband has the kids make a homemade art project for me that is very special, a nice breakfast and a good bit of leisure throughout the day to enjoy the reason I’m a mom – my children.

ok, my husband wakes me up with coffee and asks me what I WANT for breakfast and he’ll make it or we’ll go get out. then i’m free to create all day with a break for lunch (again, taken care of, oh maybe by the kids this time) and then an afternoon of what? yes! more creating! then supper out. hehe or i guess we could take the day and go shopping and have lunch out. either one is fine. :D

My perfect mother’s day would start by being able to sleep to a normal hour and then spending the day with my family.
I love my children dearly but their idea of celebrating a holiday is to wake up extra-early to start the festivities.

I’d wake up to an empty house (husband would have dressed 2 and 4 year olds and taken them out). I would get up to a fresh cup of coffee that I didn’t have to make, and sit and read the blogs… I’d return some emails, then sit on the couch and catch some of the TODAY show. Then I’d mozy upsatirs to my sewing area and play with fabric and my machine ALL DAY LONG….until it was dark and the family returned home. Ahhhh…..heaven!

My perfect day would be having a relaxed meal together with both of my children (like we did when they were children, not adults) and playing marathon Monopoly using our “rules”. However one is in Maine, one in North Carolina(as am I)and managing that kind of visit just not possible.

My perfect mother’s day would involve breakfast with my family of 6, watching a movie we all already love and enjoy, and then getting rid of all of them so I could have the house to myself for a while :D
With that alone time, I would watch a movie no one else wants to see, make a lunch with things I like and no one else does, and knit or sew or embroider without interruption. If I had any time left I would nap, because all moms (especially those of us with lots of kidddies) always need more sleep.
Now, if I could figure out how to make this happen…

When I am a mother I would love to spend the day with my family, doing something outside (a picnic perhaps?) and then have a movie night all cuddled up together on the couch! Maybe with breakfast in bed thrown in there too. :)

Breakfast with my baby and my man, including good coffee and warm french toast. Some play, games, puzzles and paint and then some time for mamma to sew and create. At the end of the day, my three year old agrees to quickly change into whatever I’ve made for her and proclaims her love for me. Papa does bath and bed while I enjoy the last peaceful moments of the day.
