As you all know, I have been planning on having another give-away for quite a while now, but I wanted to wait for a special occasion… So here it is, for all those soon to be mommies, new mommies, or more experienced mommies… this is your time to get pampered by me. So once again, I'm giving away some of my babies!
This time there will be 6 lucky winners and each will get 40 (forty) 6 1/2" squares in an assortment of all my collections, just to play and have pure fun…
So here's the deal, just share with me and other readers…
WHAT WOULD BE THE PERFECT MOTHER'S DAY FOR YOU?
I am pretty sure you all have wonderful plans.
So I guess you are wondering, who wins? Oh well, since I struggled sooo much choosing the winners for my last give-away, I'm leaving it to chance (and I'm sure this will not be any different- you have so many great stories!!!). I will choose six RANDOM winners, so…. GOOD LUCK!
You have until MOTHER'S DAY (Sunday May 10th) midnight to post your comment…. Meanwhile, I will be getting your fabric squares ready (that together with a trillion other things I have to do for Quilt Market!). Be sure to include your e-mail address to contact you…
I have a lot more coming up, so don't forget to subscribe (if you are not family yet, of course) to get a jump on future give-aways and much more.
By the way, stay tuned for the third sneak peak. The name? SPELLBOUND.
Handmade rocks… So let's keep on stitching!

Well, I’m a single mum of two and the “baby” is 1.5 years old, super active and since she’s now walking very well she’s decided she wants to conquer the world. On foot. Alone. So the perfect mothers day for me would be to get a break from running after her lol
Well, to be honest a day just for me, to spend it with a friend just chatting, uninterrupted (my oldest is 8 and in the phase where he needs to debate everything, all the time) maybe at a café, that would be absolutely heaven! Alternatively, getting time to do some sewing or knitting or reading would be nice, too.
Or just generally a break from being a mum, kind of an anti-mothering-day, to remember that I’m not just a mum but also still a person who at some point had other hobbies than changing nappies, doing laundry and cleaning up after everyone else ;-)

Wonderful giveaway! I’m expecting my first around fathers day this year so I imagine my perfect mother’s day next year to be hanging out around the house with my wonderful husband and our little girl. Just the idea of her being here is perfection to me!!!

I only have a mom, am not one myself, but this would give such a wonderful opportunity to make a quilt for my momma… that might just help her have a perfect mother’s day! Sitting on the couch, drinking tea with a good book, with all my siblings out of the house for some peace and quiet.

The perfect Mother’s Day would of course be to spend it with my wonderful daughter. We may go out for brunch and then visit our favorite fabric stores and then come home and do some creative brainstorming on items to make for our etsy shop. Of course, winning some of your beautiful fabrics would add to our delight! At the end of the day we would relax by the fire with a glass of wine.

A perfect mother’s day would be sleeping in and then spending the day with the family where I would not have to clean or cook all day. Most important, the kids would play kindly with each other without one argument the whole day!

I think the best way to spend mother’s day would be having fun with my husband and two kiddos in the morning, and then spending the whole afternoon by myself sewing and eating cake. (Is that bad to say?)

For me a perfect Mother’s Day is waking up to the kids making waffles with Daddy! Coffee served in bed:) And no real housework to do!! Just hang out. Last year my mom and I got each other really nice gifts. That would be a fun tradition to carry on as well. Something beautiful just because you’re a mom. I think fabric qualifies!!

I would love to spend mother’s day NOT being a short-order cook/maid/obstacle to climb upon. Maybe the perfect one would be watching my husband be all of those things! I’d love to go on a nice long spring hike with my family, and get lots of great pictures.
This is a wonderful giveaway. Hope I win! Thanks.

A perfect mother’s day would be sleeping in, breakfast in bed, a drive to the city with a visit to the museum or the zoo with my family and our parents then a late afternoon bbq in the park. When we returned home the kids would just fall asleep and I would paint or sew before going to bed myself!

my perfect mother’s day is this:
reading the sunday nyt with the windows open. forgoing my husband’s offer to make breakfast so that he can go ride his bike (a happy hub is a happy wife/mom). having my teen daughter linger a little bit with me, asking me what i want for dinner, perhaps presenting me with something that she thought about for longer than five minutes (a treasure as all you moms of teens know). a long walk with the dog next, midmorning tea on the porch, some digging in dirt, and then just as the replay of “prairie home companion” comes on, go on upstairs and play with my lovely lovely lovely stash of fabric! have a wonderful day!

My perfect mother’s day would be spent with my family. I would love to have a picnic lunch at the park. Doing a family art project would be really great and then a little time to myself to read or sew. Oh, and I don’t want to cook or do the dishes. I think it would also be nice to share some memories of my mom with my girls. It is so sad she isn’t here to see them. She is here in my heart.

Well, I know it won’t come as a surprise that I’d love to have plenty of time to sew on the perfect Mother’s Day, balanced of course with family time, maybe a bit of cake.
My daughter was born on Mother’s Day in 1999, after two longs days of labor, so that was pretty perfect, too.
