As you all know, I have been planning on having another give-away for quite a while now, but I wanted to wait for a special occasion… So here it is, for all those soon to be mommies, new mommies, or more experienced mommies… this is your time to get pampered by me. So once again, I'm giving away some of my babies!
This time there will be 6 lucky winners and each will get 40 (forty) 6 1/2" squares in an assortment of all my collections, just to play and have pure fun…
So here's the deal, just share with me and other readers…
WHAT WOULD BE THE PERFECT MOTHER'S DAY FOR YOU?
I am pretty sure you all have wonderful plans.
So I guess you are wondering, who wins? Oh well, since I struggled sooo much choosing the winners for my last give-away, I'm leaving it to chance (and I'm sure this will not be any different- you have so many great stories!!!). I will choose six RANDOM winners, so…. GOOD LUCK!
You have until MOTHER'S DAY (Sunday May 10th) midnight to post your comment…. Meanwhile, I will be getting your fabric squares ready (that together with a trillion other things I have to do for Quilt Market!). Be sure to include your e-mail address to contact you…
I have a lot more coming up, so don't forget to subscribe (if you are not family yet, of course) to get a jump on future give-aways and much more.
By the way, stay tuned for the third sneak peak. The name? SPELLBOUND.
Handmade rocks… So let's keep on stitching!
Patricia

I teach- :) sometimes that’s enough kids, so I’m not a mom yet. So generous love the fabrics!

I’m not a mother, but I have a new mother in my life! My sister’s now a mom, having delivered her sweet boy Teo 2 weeks ago! I already know what my Mom’s idea of a perfect mother’s day is going to be, and I’m going to share it with her, my sister and my little nephew.

A perfect Mother’s Day would be having all of my children sharing it with me on that special day. That is all that I would ask.

My perfect mother’s day would be spent in our dark dreary basement plugging away at the sewing machine while my husband kept the kids quiet and brought me delicious snacks throughout the day.

My perfect Mother’s day would be sleeping late, then breakfast in bed, with a little flower in a vase on the tray. I’ve always wanted that. Then a nice casual day, with nowhere to go or nothing to do all day.

I know my husband will have a good little something planned! I just hope my three year old will be pleasant that day–she sure has been a handful lately!

My perfect Mother’s Day would be Sunny and warm with a cool breeze, having a picnic lunch outside while watching my 2 little girls (ages 2 & 4) play happily, while I hold my sweet baby boy (5 months old) who is too little to fight about anything with his sisters. My husband would beg to massage my feet, and would cook a wonderfully delicious meal that he cleaned up after, and then would take the kids for a spectacular adventure leaving me and Baby Boy (who would be blissfully sleeping) alone to craft and read and craft some more! :]

The perfect Mother’s Day? Spending it with my family. My dh and my children. This year my daughter is away at college and so I’m sure I will hear from her on the phone and computer and texting. We are a pretty simple family when it comes to celebrations like this, it is all about our time together. I’m hoping there are belgian waffles and strawberries for brunch after church and maybe some flowers for my new garden or deck. Thanks for the CHANCE!

Mother’s Day – it’s about me, right? Send dear son (7.5yrs) with dad for some good father/son bonding and let me play all day, uninterrupted.. Oooooh… what I could do with all these beautiful pieces… my mind is racing with ideas!

Well, I have to say that I had the BEST mother’s day last year when my son was born! Unfortunately, he woke me up in the middle of the night with labour pains so I didn’t get breakfast in bed, but he was born at 9pm that night and I got to snuggle, kiss and meet my little boy for the first time on Mother’s Day. And now, a year later, we joke that he is doomed to be a mamma’s boy because of his birthday! This year maybe I’ll get breakfast in bed…

It’s a little sad, but my perfect mother’s day would be to have my mother here still. She passed away in 2003. Thankfully, I have a wonderful mother-in-law, so my next-perfect day will be spending it with her. We’ll go out to eat, and I’m going to make a fresh strawberry pie for dessert. Thank you for the drawing!

A perfect Mother’s Day for me would be to eat the wonderfully wonky breakfast my boys make for me in bed with a book, be taken out for a coffee and walk the dog and then be left for the afternoon to sew in my new sewing room…. hopefully dreaming up a new project with the latest Art Gallery Quilts fabrics which I LOVE!!! Pick me!

My perfect Mother’s Day would be shopping for quilting fabrics with my mom in Kauai. Surprised me to discover there is quite a tradition of Hawaiian quilting, and I loved the quilt shop on Kauai!
My mom will be in Kauai on Mother’s Day… this time without me though. :(

My husband works hard and usually forgets about gifts for me. So this year I booked a haircut and color, and some spa treatments. My perfect mother’s day would include a lunch date with some girlfriends though.

My perfect Mothers Day would be to spend it with my Mom who passed away 10 years ago or/and with my Mother In Law who passed away a week ago today! BUT since I can not have that…a day of having my two grown sons messing up my living room and keeping me the kitchen would be great. BUT since one lives far away and was just here and the other has to work…I will choose a day in my sewing room with a pesty 23 year old cat for company. (not to mention my devoted husband and peace and the joy of watching my husband snore during a tv show! Love, Luck and Laughter to all…

Mother’s day is also my birthday this year, so my ideal day would be going shopping for fabric, have a few hours to myself to sew and then getting taken out to dinner, which I think is what is probably going to happen. So, score.

This will be my first Mother’s Day as a mother! It was always a tradition in my family growing up to cook breakfast in bed for my Mum so I have requested the same this year from my hubby. Then hopefully a walk in the sun (fingers crossed) with my little girl, some time spent with my Mum over a cup of tea and a hot bath for me and a juicy book. Perfect!

My perfect Mother’s Day will happen this weekend with my Mom! We will sew and embroider together, and paw through her button collection, and cook together, and talk about her grandkids, and have tea together, and talk about all we’ll do in the garden when it finally FINALLY warms up enough. :) We will watch an old 40’s musical movie, we will pop popcorn and put way too much butter on it, and we will make a coffeecake for breakfast the next day. FUN!

Thanks for a lovely giveaway theme! My perfect Mother’s day would be to spend the day with my mom, just the two of us, meeting up with my dad and my husband for the evening. I would take mom shopping and we could talk for hours. (I’m sad that my mom lives far away and isn’t in very good health, so it’s not very likely this will actually happen)
