Spring Market Recap (Part II)

Hey ladies!!

How's your holiday going? A Monday off work always comes in handy right?

Well, I wish I'd knew what that looks like! Holidays don't apply to me when it comes to designing my next collections, choosing the colors, drawing, creating new patterns, writing, making samples, and getting done everything that's on the everlasting to-do list tattooed in my head!

But oh well, I'm so passionate about what I do (and designing has to be my favorite stage!), that I almost don't mind skipping the holiday this time…

I wanted to thank you all for your lovely comments on my booth at Market, besides creating something appealing and inspiring for the shops, I really have YOU gals in mind too when I think about the whole display… So it fills me with joy to know that you actually like it!

But hey! The booth is not everything. This time around we decided to step it up a notch and go for the showroom!

Now imagine this: you have a 10×10 feet white cubicle ready to be filled up with whatever you want and however you want it, with the challenge that it MUST make your fabrics look absolutely stunning. Sounds like quite a task, right?

After days and days of thinking and raw-sketching (well, reaaaally raw I must confess), this is what we came up with, hope you like it!

Showroom1

Voila! How do you like it so far? The entire showroom was like a tribute to my Paradise collection… the whole concept of it was to make a mirror image using the opposite colorways (those quilts are twins!), and I personally think we executed pretty well… What do you think?

This is the "Sunrise" colorway…

Showroom2

Aaaand, the Sunset…

Showroom5

And last but not least, this is me looking picture-ready trying to match the prettiness of the showroom!

What do you think? Your feedback to me is sooo important!

Oh and by the way, Paradise will be available in August (just in case you were wondering when you could put your super crafty hands on that fabric!) so be sure to check out your local quilt shop!

A bunch of exciting projects are coming up, so be prepared to see some interesting stuff going on here at Art Gallery…

Back to work now!

Love,

Pat.

Your booth and showroom were both gorgeous! I was so happy to have the opportunity to meet you during your interview with Bari. Even from behind that tiny camera, everything looked just lovely.
I will tell you that no matter how good the photos are, they do not do the fabric or the designs justice. They are so much more vibrant and engaging in person.
Best of luck with your fall endeavors. I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings for you.

I love that wall with al the framed prints and fabrics with the various colored and shaped bottles below them. I’d love to curl up in one of those chairs and wrap myself up in all that wonderful array of colors and prints.

Pat you are just glowing with beauty! I do beleive that you are getting younger every year! Which I know is possible number wise however I remember back several years now that you were working so hard and now look at you the beauty shows up on every single thing you touch! I love all your fabric and this year I see a couple of little dress that I so have to have the patterns for I know that one of them in the “Lauren” however the other one with the thinner straps I am not sure of. I love your purse I so want to get at least to of them the one is the Milano with the beautiful Pin but everytime I go to find it there sold out! I am going to start crying soon. Anyway I just wanted to tell you how much I love your colors, the booth is breath taking my gosh its just all beautiful. I am curious if you ever sleep? lol I do love the frame fabric just adds more class to your booth. Thank you so much for sharing everything you do. Every time I come to your blog or site its so colorful it just make you feel good to good through everything you have done here. I know one thing if I could I would own at least 2 yrds of every collection you have ever done and your purse kits are to die for. I so love your sugar collection! I spend so much on all the fabric for my granddaughters I always seem to sew for them and forget about myself. One day the purse kit with the chain and pearl pin is coming to me. Thank you again Pat for everything you do & make.

I remember seeing your booth at market. It was my favorite. Your bags are so cute, but my favorite was the quilt with the gathered puffs. I didn’t realize you designed your fabric, too. Who distributes it? I have a shop in Minneapolis that needs some of your style!
