No Sew – Apron Tutorial

Hello everyone!

I hope you guys are well, I'm very excited because today I'm going to show you how to make a no-sew apron! It's very easy to make, you can do it at home with your kids or even just for fun during your free time. Also, it's perfect to use it every day at home while you are cooking  ;)

Here is what you will need:

Untitled-1

  • 1 yard of Fabric
  • Fabric strip
  • Hot silicone glue
  • Rotary cutter (you can also use scissors, but the rotary cutter is more precise)
  • Ruler ( just in case you decide to use the rotary cutter)

1. First, Measure yourself. The measurements I took were: the arm hole (12 inches), height (34 inches), neckline (7 inches) and bust (26 inches).

2. Make sure to cut the arm hole in a 45 degree angle and then cut everything else just as you measured.

3. After cutting the fabric, make sure to fold the edges over and then iron them.

After folding the edges over and ironing, it should look like this.

4. Put the silicone glue and fold the edges over one more time. Press with your fingers until everything is glued together. Then, at the end of the arm hole glue a piece of the fabric strip (It can be as long as you like, I used two strips of 20 inches each) Repeat the same step on the other side and for the top( I used one strip of 24 inches). VOILA, it's done! You can play with the measurements depending on how big you want the apron to be!

I'm in love with this simple project! I also made a little pocket to decorate the apron. That's optional. Basically, I just repeated the same steps I did with the apron. Also, if you are very careful when gluing things together, it will look beautiful and clean! I'm definitely using this for my next BBQ at home! I can't wait to wear it.

For this project I used canvas fabric from the Joie de vivre collection by Bari J.

I hope you all enjoyed this!

xoxo,

Caro!

Caro , this is too cool. I have 3 hot glue guns and my home that rarely get used; now I can use ’em!
