Hey there, Sewing Enthusiasts!

I hope you’re having a swell week so far! Can you believe it’s October already? Before you know it, it will be the week of Fall Quilt Market in Houston. Time is definitely zooming by! But let’s slow down a little and reflect on the past few days.

As you already know, September was sewing month and inspiration was hitting us from left and right.  From a blog tour to a few sew alongs, there were tons of great things to see. But the real surprise happened at the end of the month when our AGF Sewcialite, Mister Domestic gave us a surprise visit at the AGF HQ.

Let me tell you, hanging out with Mister Domestic was nothing but fun! We laughed, chatted about our love for fabrics, and he basically took over the HQ. As If we didn’t love him enough already, we were all overjoyed by his positivity and inspired by his journey as a maker. One phrase that he always said that really stuck with me was “You do, you.”

As simple as it sounds, sometimes it’s difficult to “Do you” because there are times you want everyone to like you and you want to please everyone. Especially, when showing off your creative abilities! Mister Domestic advises all makers to avoid the path of perfection and worrying about other’s opinions because if you show off your true self, people will love you even more.

To sum up the wonderful time we had with Mister Domestic, we’ve prepared a little video of all his antics here in the AGF HQ. Remember to keep your eyes peeled for tons of videos and tutorials hosted by him, coming soon!
