Wreath Tutorial featuring Here Comes the Fun by Sew Caroline

Hey there awesome makers!

Today is a busy day here at the office but I'm so in love with Sew Caroline's new collection, Here Comes the Fun that I had to make something with it. Since the holidays are coming soon, I wanted to make something related to them. So, I thought of a cool wreath. I decided to use Here Comes the Fun because of its colors and prints. Here in South Florida we have what we call a "warm-winter" because temperatures around the 60's and 70's are the coldest we can get. Basically, we are able to go to the beach and do other activities outside because the weather is very tropical! My holidays are colorful and full of sunshine and I'm very thankful for it. :)

Now, let's get started!

Supplies you will need:

  • Steel Wire

  • Florist Wire

  • Tape

  • Fabric scraps ( measurements may vary. It depends on how big you want the wreath to be) I used scraps of 1.5'' x 7 '' approximately.

1) I used the steel wire to create the shape of the wreath. What I did was very easy, since it comes in a oval shape I just cut it. I'm not going to give you exact measurements because that's up to you. You can make it small, medium or big.  I used the tape to stick the to edges together.  For the second oval shape repeat the same steps, the only difference is that this shape you have to make is smaller so it fit's inside the big oval. Now, to tie both circles together you will use the florist wire. Leave a 2'' space in between the circles.

2) After having the shape of your wreath it's time to cut some fabric! I used fabric scraps which was awesome because sometimes we don't know what to do with them.

I cut them approximately (1.5'' x 7'') each of them. Cut as much as you need to fill your wreath.

3) Tie with a knot each piece of fabric just like you see in the picture. Repeat the same step until you fill both circles!

4) This is how it will look once you complete the bigger circle. Now, let's keep working on the smaller one!

Isn't this beautiful?! This is the easiest project I've ever done and it's perfect to hang it on my door. I'm thinking about making these to give them as Christmas gifts!

I hope you all enjoyed,

Caro.
