MINI – PATTERNS!

Have an appetite for new patterns?

Well I hope you do because I have a real banquet for the sewing-hungry!

Quilting and sewing are my life's true passions (probably yours too!). But let's face it; it can be quite hard sometimes when you just begin! I think about myself when I was a teenager going crazy looking at the patterns, trying to follow step by step, a needle here, some thread there, the piping, the lining, the stitching, the interfacing… ("what the heck does BASTING mean??")

So as you can see, I can totally relate to all of you that are just stepping into this marvelous world of sewing, and to those who, between the job, the kids, the house and many others, just don't have the time for complicated, puzzle-looking instructions for complex projects. Soooo… to all of you that are looking for an "express" way to make beautiful things, I bring you my MINI-QUILT and MINI- SEWING PATTERNS!!

These are simpler, easier-to-make projects but with the same clear, detailed instructions as the original patterns, that'll have you becoming a sewing expert in no time!

Let me introduce you to my first MINI-SEWING PATTERN… ladies and gentlemen… here's THE MAUI BAG!

Maui1

When I first made this bag, I knew it HAD to become a pattern. It really captures that warm spring-summery feeling we all love; so girly and sophisticated, yet so useful and oh-so simple to make!

Maui2

It's spacious enough to carry to the beach with all the necessary gear; towel, magazine, sunglasses, sunblock, even a fresh snack… Or you can take it with you to run the daily-basis errands around town, I'm sure you will turn some heads!

Does it look intimidating to make? Sure not! It's just as simple as it is beautiful! And in case you find it a little challenging, the accordion- folded pattern will explain everything step by step with clear-as-water graphics and instructions so you can strut your stuff with your new Maui bag all summer long!

And now give it up for my  MINI- QUILT PATTERN: THE CHIC THROW.

This is not your typical throw; the innovative design with the twisted knots and the quilted (yes, quilted!) squares, make this throw one truly cutting-edge accessory.

Add on  these lively, contrasting yet harmonious fabrics to the mix and make a throw that not only keeps your feet warm but keeps your house super stylish!

What better way to bring some color and originality into your home? It also sounds like a good way to introduce yourself to quilting…it has some quilting technique into it but it's not one of those big scary ones! So why don't you give it a try? I have no doubt you will amaze yourself (and loved ones!) when you discover the gorgeous results!

I'm super excited and proud of these patterns, I hope you have the most fun with them!

I'll be launching these at Market, so they will available at your local store & online around June… can't wait!

So don't be shy and drop me a line telling me what you think… do they look tempting?

More MINI-PATTERNS coming soon… so stay tuned!

Love,

Pat.

Both are gorgeous! Can’t wait for the patterns, I will definitely buy them both. They are so beautiful and although I have been sewing since I was a little girl, I appreciate quicker projects for instant gratification! I am a big fan of your fabrics, the colors are so lovely and sophisticated, unlike other fabrics on the market. Many thanks!

Verrrry cute! I love them both. But I have had a hard time finding your patterns so I could purchase one. I have clicked on a bunch of the links to stores and did a search on each one (that I checked) and couldn’t find one that’s in the Southeastern part of the U.S. Maybe I’m missing it, but haven’t found one close by.
I’ll look further away and I’m sure I’ll find one.
    take care,

Pat-I have been lurking for a while, enjoying what you share about your design process and the delightful results, but I had to comment on that throw – it is so intriguing and such a fun twist on the use of your fabric! Thanks for working so hard on these.

They look beautiful. Im 27 and have been learning to sew for the last 2 years on my own with help from a friend occasionally. I fell in love with your girly girl line and think anything made in it is beautiful. I just received some I ordered. Can’t wait to try it. I have to admit Im not good following patterns. :(

I love the Maiu bag! But I’ll be there in a few weeks, so I can’t make one to bring with me. Maybe I’ll pick up some fabric there to make one when I get home to remind me of the vacation!

Hi Patricia – I am so in love with that throw! My mother was the most amazing seamstress and all my growing up years, I absolutely REFUSED to learn to sew. Now that I am an older adult, and have found the desire to learn and create, my mother has since passed. I am so sorry she is not here to teach me. That throw looks really hard so maybe I try the purse first, then try the throw. Your fabrics are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

    Hey Linda,
Thank you! I’m overwhelmed with your kind words and support… You made me weep with your story. Although the story with my mommy is different, I understand you are missing yours now, but do this for her: LEARN TO SEW IN HOMAGE TO HER! I’m sure she’ll be looking you from heaven and smile in happiness… and every time you finish one project, say this: “This is for you, mom”. I’m sure you’ll feel much better.
In regard to The Chic Throw, believe me when I tell you that IS INCREDIBLE EASY!! Buy the pattern and you’ll see.
If you need any kind of help in the future, just drop me a line…
    Love,
    Pat
