Time to Spice it Up!

First of all, a big, huge THANK YOU for your lovely comments and your response to the Canston Village Giveaway!

A couple of weeks ago I sent a newsletter about a new free project I designed… but since I've been getting many more subscriptions, I think it's only fair to share with all of you here on my blog, right?

I believe that the fact that we have to do the cooking, the cleaning and the gardening doesen't mean that we can't look and feel great while doing it…

That's why ladies, I bring you the Spice-It-Up Apron!

Thanks so much for this. I made one as a Gift for a mate and everyone decided it was too pretty to use! Haha. One girl said she’d never take it off if it was hers! That’s some awesome compliments so thanks again for the pattern! It really is appreciated to us novice sewers! Wish I knew how to attach a picture. I might try on comments. Thanks again!

Hi Pat, this is just gorgeous. I’m going to make one for a girlfriend. Curious to know how much fabric to buy, have the yardage but not the width. I’d really appreciate your help.
    Thanks

Hi Rachel, thank you for your nice comment. You will need to buy approximately 1 yard each of the prints. Art Gallery Fabrics come in 45″ wide. This apron is very simple to make. Happy sewing, xo

Such a versatile pattern; for you, yellow, green, red. I will adapt fit to suit my figure; hot colours.
I, too, recommend patterns for larger sizes. Photos of suitable models in active poses would be a bonus!

Hi, do you have any recommendations on how to size this down for a child for “mommy and me” aprons?

I noticed that fabric B should have at least 3/4 yard not 1/2. I had to go back to the store and buy more. It turned out cute. I’m going to have my sewing students make one too.
