Step 2:

Once the top is complete, lay it flat and right side up on top of the backing fabric. Smooth out any wrinkles and pin the two pieces together.

Step 3:

Sew the two layers together using a straight or decorative stitch across the blanket, removing all of your pins as you go.

Step 4:

Lay the blanket right-side up and fold over the overlapping backside to create your binding which will be about .5”. Pin as you go.

Step 5:

Beginning at one corner, sew a decorative stitch all the way around your blanket, tucking in any raw edges.

Step 6:

Iron your blanket and go enjoy the outdoors!

Super cute blanket. Man! I love this whole line, but I guess I like Picnic by the River slightly more than the other color way. I will quilt the heck out of this fabric, but it will be so great for garments, too!

I love the scrappy feel of this blanket! The proportions are on point :) I’ve been coveting this new line, so beautiful. it’s difficult to pick a favorite since I like a bunch in each colorway, but maybe picnic by the river more? what would I make? oh jeez so much…little matching toiletry/makeup bags, a purse, a duffle, a big flowy skirt, shirtdress?, a book cover, a quilt, a sun bonnet. never-ending ideas! :)
