Well, we finally get to reveal the secret! Drum rolls please…! We are extremely happy to announce that Art Gallery Fabrics will now produce ORGANIC COTTON for the first time ever!

Like with any of our other substrates, you’ll be able to “feel the difference” with AGF Organics! After a long time of planning and research, we’re happy to bring you a custom-woven organic cotton like no other!

You may be wondering, what’s the difference between regular cotton and organic cotton fabrics? The production of organic cotton begins with the selection of the seeds, to naturally rotating the crops in healthy soil while avoiding any types of pesticides that can harm the crop or the farmers. From that point on, it’s specially handled in the mills, and is printed with low impact inks.

Our new substrate will have our unmatched quality and design on a 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton base cloth, with the most eco-friendly GOTS-approved inks and dyes in the industry. These certifications ensure that our fabrics are part of a fair-trade, which means they are produced in a safe, humane, and healthy environment during the entire process.

We’re glad we can make the world a bit better and safer one yard at a time with AGF Organics. Stay tuned to learn more about our new substrate and to find out which collections will be released in organics. As always, stay creative and thanks for inspiring!

Xoxo,

Stephanie

This is so exciting! I rarely buy any fabric which is not organic. It will be wonderful to have more choice and especially in your fine, soft fabric. When do you expect they will be available to the public? Are you planning prints or only solid colours?

I’m looking forward to the new Spring lines. I have been buying more Art Gallery fabrics, (especially from Llama Fabrics on Etsy), than other companies for the softness and beautiful colors. I look forward to many more lines coming into my home. Organics are very nice but not as more important than your your non organic fabrics. I go by colors and patterns for myself. I’m hoping to buy more knits this year as I make some of my clothes. I would love to see more free quilt patterns as buying the fabrics cost a little more and sometimes require more than a f/q bundle. A free pattern would make it so worth it!!

Great ! I’m so happy beacause I love your fabrics and I’m wondering when you’ll have organic fabrics. I clicked on the link you provided and it’s only GOTS website… Will you provide your GOTS certificate because I need it for my customers ? I’m a fabric retailer. Thanks
