New Analog Times with Pastel Thrift by AGF Studio

Pastel thrift_cover_art gallery fabrics

Hello crafty creatives!

How’s everyone doing? You probably noticed our collection releases were briefly interrupted to bring you all the awesome spring 2016 fabric collections we’re going to be showing during Quilt Market in Salt Lake City. But don’t worry, our favorite time of the week is back! Collection release day, yay!

Today, we’re happy to present the newest fabric collection designed by our AGF Studio, Pastel Thrift! This fabric collection is beautifully balanced with soft shades of pink, blue, yellow and completed with greys. Pastel Thrift brings to light an afternoon spent at a quirky thrift store filled with unique trinkets and rare oddities. I simply love how this fabric collection gives a modern twist to vintage things through the use of punchy pastel colors (it includes the so-talked-about Pantone colors of the year 2016: Rosequartz and Serenity – we swear we didn't know back in October when we showed it first, we just went with our gut) and the addition of black.

When you look closely at some of the prints in this collection you’ll realize that it plays homage to analog objects, such as record players, photography slides, the numbers in vintage watches, and printed books.  In a world filled with technology, it’s always nice remember those times when you had to wait for pictures to be developed or actually buy music in records, it's good to still have the option.

Enough about the past! Let’s talk about how our love for vintage things has translated into inspirational projects just for you! Check out the Pastel Thrift Lookbook and feast your eyes with tons of patterns and tutorials.

I’d probably make a lightweight Spring quilt. One that’s not heavy like Winter quilt, or no quilt as per summers in KS are just too much). Plus with all that fabric I could make it double sided so it would be extra awesome.
