The Big Electric Quilt + AGF Giveaway!

Hey there!

I hope everyone is doing great! Today, is a special day for us because we’re helping the Electric Quilt Company celebrate their 25th Anniversary! Yay! Since this is a huge milestone for them, they’re having a yearlong celebration and we get to takeover for the month of August. :D

Over the past years, Electric Quilt has not only changed the way makers design quilts but also provided resources for people learning how to quilt. It’s amazing how Penny and Dean, the founders of EQ had a vision to improve the way quilts are made and they changed the lives of many makers!

Here’s a little video that shows the first time Penny showed the software to the public on national TV. I encourage you to read the history of EQ, it's so interesting!

In addition, every year Electric Quilt provides downloads of a variety of fabrics scanned to scale for you to instantly visualize the final look of your quilt. These extra downloads for the software are known as EQ Stash. AGF has been happy to be featured in many versions of EQ stash (you can read about the 2016 download 1 and download 2 here)! This is why we’re excited to announce that we’ve paired up with EQ to have an EPIC GIVEAWAY to celebrate their 25 years!

    I have purchased EQ 5,6,7 and EQ stitch. I have created several hundred designs in all my EQ softwares. I love the enhancements that come with every new software release. Now I wish I had the time to make all of the quilts. It is really a time saver and I use it to scan my fabrics, design a quilt and then tweek it to make the exact size for my beds. Love, Love it!!

    I have an upgraded version of EQ6 to EQ7 and would love to have the newest version. I use mine all the time. I love it. I design quilts for other people and sometimes even sew and/or sell my designs.

    Love EQ7. Am now teaching my 10 year old granddaughter. She has become so proficient she needs her own program. Having made her first quilt at 4 years old. (Assisted)The next generation of quilters is already in the pipeline.

    I have been wanting to design large 8′ x 10′ (yes, foot) large wall quilts of existing significant biblical landsites. These would include many many hundreds if not several thousand different little pieces of fabrics. Sky has its own piecing theme, mountains, rocks, waters, etc. Have also wanted to design paper piecing wallquilts made of blocks that feature nature of various places (and ocean life, plants, too). Each place has its own wallquilt. I love paper piecing, but don’t know how to construct nicer things. Another special thing I’d always wanted to do was make wallquilts and bedquilts of Hubble Space Center nebulae, stars, galaxies. Key to that would ask fabric manufacturers to make a line of their space star photos (they keep ignoring me).

    Every year I make a signature quilt for our high school senior class auction the money from the auction goes to pay for the senior trip, and each year I also make a quilt for our family reunion auction and the money goes to pay for the family dinner. I would love to have the EQ7 software. I know this software would assist me tremendously with designing my signature and patchwork quilts!
