Yardage Cheat Sheet

Hey there!

When you are new to quilting and sewing knowing the yards/inches gets very confusing. When I started learning how to sew, these terms were like learning another language! Haha! I remember going online and looking for a yardage chart. I wrote down and memorized everything I needed to know. So, to start 2017 by making our lives a bit easier, I decided to make a printable yardage chart. You can hang it in your sewing room as a quick refresher because even if you're an advanced sewist, sometimes you can forget!

Download the yardage chart here.

I hope you'll find this useful!

This is great how you have included the fat quarter and fat eighth. I also have a free download for pocket size (business card size) in various prints: http://www.thelostapron.com/2012/08/yardage-chart-pdf.html

As I’m in Europe I’m more familiar with cm and meters and most of my measuring tools are in these units. Then I shop for fabric from US sites and read tutorials in imperial measurements and I get myself in quite a muddle. Would you consider adding cm to this chart? Thanks

We have same problem in Uk. Shops are obliged to sell in cm but patterns are usually in inches.

Since I buy in meters here in Canada, this chart is useful as a quick reference on how much I actually need to have on hand when tackling a oattern based in yards and inches. Many thanks!

There are so many things I could make with Forest Floor collection but I would choose totes, bags, and quilts. Thanks for the chance to win.
