Spice Rack Quilt Featuring Spices Fusion from Quilts and More Magazine

Hello Quilty Friends,

How has 2018 been treating you? The days are already flying by for me but I have been slowly incorporating my new year goals into place! For those of you who added sew more in 2018 to your new year goals I got the perfect project for you all to tackle. It's called the Spice Rack Quilt made with Spices Fusion! The pattern can be found in the Spring 2018 Quilts and more issue!  The holiday season may have taken a toll on our sewing time but this easy to sew quilt will get your sewing mojo back in no time. This quilt is made entirely out of rows and rows of tumbler pattern pieces. I love the organic feel to this quilt and how the placement of the fabrics keep your eyes moving  from shape to shape.

My goals for 2018 is not to stress and enjoy the journey. Keep sewing from my heart, make things for others and try and keep a few things for myself.

My goals for 2018 are to finish 2 quilt tops into quilts, make lots of zipper bags, wallets, pincushions, and little bags for gifts, and to try new techniques that I’ve never attempted, such as free motion quilting, more appliqué, more ruffles/gathering, and more intricate quilt blocks.

My goal is to finish the quilt I have started for my granddaughter, but I keep starting other little projects that I see that I want to make for her. I can get those things done faster so the quilt gets set aside and it’s just a vicious circle! :)
Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I’m hoping to make a dent in my stash, creating from what I have. Every piece of fabric was bought with an intended project so I just have to remember that instead of getting sidetracked.

I really want to finish the many ufo’s I currently have. I am going to try to finish at least one before I start anything new. I already have one quilt done and I’m quilting another top that I made 3? years ago. I also really want to work on my guild’s mystery quilt from 2017 too. Hopefully some of that will be accomplished tomorrow at a quilter’s retreat that I’m going to.

First I need to clean my sewing room. Second I am in charge of the pillowcase drive for the Guild. Last year we made and donated 434. I’m hoping we can do the same this year. Third I need to increase my pile of quilt tops to be donated. I like to have a big stack ready for quilting. Right now I have 2. I need a bunch.
