AGF Community Sampler GRAND FINALE REVEAL

Hi Fabric Friends,

WE DID IT!!  The Community Sampler sew along hosted by Maureen Cracknell and Sharon Holland has come to an end and today we reveal our finished quilt! These beauties below each had a hand in the creation of this quilt and I couldn’t be more proud. With the majority of the girls sewing experience ranging from never touching a sewing machine to dabbling a bit in the sewing world I am so honored to have had the opportunity to get to teach each one of these gals the basics to sewing and creating a quilt block.

A special thanks to all of you who followed us on our journey each week and for commenting on each one of the girls blocks. Your motivational words of encouragement and advice means the world to us. If you missed out on these posts, don’t worry I got ya covered. Check out the links below to "meet the girl" behind the block.

The final look is out of this world and it was such a wonderful experience quilting this quilt filled with dedication and teamwork by every girl in our team. As I quilted over each block one by one I thought of the girl that made the block and the time we spent together laughing, learning, and creating.

Now that the Community Sampler sew along is over the girls are itching for another sew along to join. So if any of you have any sew alongs that you are following or plan to do soon let us know.

How do you all find out about new sew alongs? I would love to compile a list  about upcoming sew alongs and blog about them, so share with me your favorites.

Sewing is even more fun when you're sewing with people that share the same love and passion for fabric and creating something new.

Happy Sewing,

 Meli

The combined efforts of the group resulted in a fantastic quilt! Kudos to all. I usually just stumble across a quilt along. Right now I ‘m participating in “The Splendid Sampler 2”. I believe today is the release of block 3.

There is a Gypsy Wife quilt sew a long that begins on
Monday July 1. It is with Just Wanna Quilt.
This is a group started by a law professor from Tulane University in New Orleans. It is actually a research project studying all aspects of the quilt industry.
I will be using a lot of my scraps in the quilt, that are mostly AGF fabrics
