Summer in Winter?! – How to make a “Windswept” Quilt Block

Hello Makers,

Still in a holiday daze from all the Christmas fun I had with my family and friends. Back in the office and ready to burn off all those extra cookie calories! January is approaching and not only is it the start to a new year but also can be one of the coldness months out of the year! Which is why I think it’s perfect timing for the release of Sunkissed fabrics! Ready for that winter cruise or maybe you are already planning a fun trip someplace warm for Spring Break?

In Florida we are always feeling the Summer Vibes and with Maureen Cracknell’s new fabric collection called Sunkissed  you will feel it too.

Block-Tutorial

Ready to add another block to your collection? I just sewed up the magical looking “Windswept” Block, all the yellows, corals and greens are so electrifying.

Happy Sewing,

Meli

Thanks Rosemary! Happy New Year to you too! So happy you like the block, it was pretty fun sewing it together. The colors really make the block shine! My shirt is made with the Sun Kissed Rayon. I want to make soooo many things with this print! I already made a top for my mom and was thinking of making a skirt or dress for me! I really want to start sewing more clothes! Hope your 2019 is filled with great times and lots of sewing. :)
